He was baptized Nov. 20, 1843, came to Nauvoo, Ill., from Virginia in 1845, after laboring about a year as a missionary. In 1851 he went with Elders Amasa M. Lyman and Charles C. Rich to San Bernardino, and was one of the founders of that colony. He returned to Utah and filled seven missions to the Southern States, bringing a company of converts back with him each time. Elder Boyle filled fourteen missions in all. He died in November, 1908, in Arizona. (See also Pioneers and Prominent Men of Utah, p. 766.)
