Enga was born Ingar Hansdotter, daughter of Bengta Michaelsdotter Carlson and Hans Andersson. When she arrived in America with her mother, step-father, sister and brother, she took the surname of her biological father, Hans ANDERSON.She went by the name Enga throughout her life in America.Enga married William Edward Partington on March 29, 1875 in the Salt Lake City Endowment House. At the age of nineteen, Enga became step-mother to William Edward's nine children, the youngest was only five.Enga became the mother of ten children: Joseph Alma Partington, Martha Jane Jacobsen, Ida Bailey, Heber Ralph Partington, Rebecca May Kloepfer, Rachel Fuhriman, Josephine Aikele, Agnes Partington, Leah Naef, and Maud Alice Partington.
