JoLynn grew up in Bear River City and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1975. She went to Paris, France for 1 year and was an au pair (Nanny) for a family there. She went to Weber State University and graduated from there with her Nursing Degree.
She was a nurse at McKay Dee Hospital. She went to Honolulu, Hawaii and spent 1 year working at a hospital there. She was a very adventurous young woman. She returned to work in Ogden with Intermountain HealthCare in Psychiatric Care for several more years.
After her divorce she moved to Hawaii again, for the sunshine, warmth, and beauty. She stayed there for the rest of her life. While she was there, she became a very close friend to Aileen Newman, an older woman that JoLynn helped and took care of until she passed away. JoLynn was always helping people.
JoLynn was content to be at home reading and enjoying beautiful Hawaii.
Preceded in death by her Mother and Father and Grandparents. She is survived by her siblings LeAnna, (Craig) Caldwell, Kaysville; Jodi Sue, (Tony) Henley, Pocatello, Id; Darin L. (Kimberly) Sorenson, Bear River City; Von Lynn, (Tammy) Sorenson, Bear River City; and Gary Leonard (Karey) Sorenson, Bear River City. And her Aunts Linda Johnson, Margret Ann Hall, and Sandra Eames. And 25 nieces and nephews. And 25 cousins. Memorial Services will be held July 22, 2023, at the Bear River City Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. With a luncheon to follow at the home of Von Sorenson, with all invited.
