Longtime Glenvil
Resident Dies
Last Friday

Simon J. Van Boening, who had been a resident of the Glenvil community for 75 years died late Friday at the age of 79 years.

He was born at Emden, Ill., August 30, 1879, and came to the Glenvil community with his parents when he was a child of four. Having followed the career of a farmer, he moved to the town of Glenvil on his retirement.

Survivors are his sisters, Mrs. Allie Johnson and Mrs. Frank Frisch of Hastings. Mrs. Van Boening died a few months ago.

Services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in St. Paul's Lutheran church (sic) west of Glenvil of which he was a member and burial was in the churchyard cemetery. Rev. Paul Moeller officiated.
