Christine Augusta Murphy, 86 of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of Temple Hill, MD, died on March 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born July 10, 1921 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mollie Dix Sadowska.
Mrs. Murphy was a retired Telephone Operator for the U.S. Senate. She loved visiting with family and reading to her grandchildren, she enjoyed sports, especially football (Washington Redskins), baseball (Yankees and Braves) and puzzle books and word search.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Paul Murphy. She is survived by her son Paul F. Murphy, daughter Maureen A. Montgomery, grandchildren, Jennifer A. Risinger, Ryan J. Montgomery and Mollie T. Murphy and great grandchildren, Nicholas C. Risinger, Nicole R. Montgomery and Shannon E. Montgomery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2008 in St. Ignatius Catholic Church 8855 Chapel Point Rd, Port Tobacco, MD 20677 from 10:30Am to 11:30AM where a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30AM. Interment church cemetery.
