MARIETTA Services for Peggy E. McEntire, 71, will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2008, in Covenant of Grace Church with Sister Angela Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Jimtown Cemetery.

Born Nov. 7, 1936, in Jimtown to Earl Robert and Jessie Lee Hallum Hicks, she died April 4, 2008, in an Ardmore hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Burney D. Hicks; two nephews, Jeffrey P. Hicks and Gary Keith Hicks, a great-nephew, Chad Reed; and a great-niece, Blair Reed.

A resident of Love County most of her life, she was employed as a house supervisor at Morning Star in Marietta. She had attended elementary school in Jimtown, high school in Burneyville and Cooke County College in Gainesville, Texas.

She was an accomplished pianist and also taught piano. She enjoyed her job and co-workers, as well as fishing. She loved family gatherings. She was Pentecostal Holiness.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa L. McEntire, Ardmore, a granddaughter, Suzi Isenor, Gene Autry; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ray Hicks, Rubottom, Glyn and Virginia Hicks, Marietta, and Gary and Linda Hicks, Lone Grove; a sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Auston Reed, Marietta; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Wanda and Miles Miller, Ponca City.

Bearers are Monica L. Reed, Randy Hicks, Robin Hicks, Gaither Hicks, Shane Hicks and Tyler Hicks. Honorary bearers are Lyndal Hicks, Steve Reed and all of her other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society, c/o Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Marietta, OK 73448.
