The daughter of the late Henderson and Janie Black Smith, she was born July 1, 1869 in Wayne County. She was married to Bryant Black and later to John Abbott. Both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Abbott was a member of the New Haven Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Survivors are the following children, Riley Black and Roscoe Black, both of Camp Ground, James Arthur Black, Bridgeport, Ind., and Joe Bryant Black, Waynesburg; 32 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Farris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home with the Rev. George Griffin officiating. Burial in the Vaught Cemetery at Camp Ground.
