Viola Krombholz Bryant, 92, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, at Elkin Health Care Center. She was born July 9, 1915, in Merrill, Wis., to the late Emil Krombholz of Germany and Grace Beikoff of Austria. She was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher, church clerk and sang in the choir when she was able to be there. She also had many pastors and missionaries over for a meal. She was a census taker in her earlier years, worked in Stacie' s Bake Shop, also worked at Starmount High School Cafeteria and worked for several years in the offices of Huff Funeral Home in Boonville and Jonesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Herman Fletcher Bryant; a sister, Eleanor Sharpe; and a brother, Emil Krombholz. Surviving are her children, Frances (Olin) Groce of Hamptonville; Harold "Dusty" (Dorothy) Bryant of Jonesville; Grace (Max) Reinhardt of Yadkinville; Stacie (Junior) Miller of Boonville; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Krombholz of Sevierville Tenn. Her funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Gentry Family Chapel, with Dr. Leon Mikles and the Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today, April 6, at the funeral home in Jonesville. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3380 Fall Creek Church Road, Jonesville, NC 28642, or a charity of the donor' s choice. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Bryant family.
