Lydia Mae Walker, age 93, of Warren died Wednesday December 3, at Countrywood Estates in Monticello. Born March 23, 1910 in Cleveland County a daughter of the late George Allen Taylor and Florence Jeffers Taylor she was a homemaker, member Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of Ben Walker who died April 17, 1972. Also, preceding her in death were brothers Leroy Taylor, Lester Taylor, Carl Taylor; sisters Lizzie Parrott, Stella Wherry and Dora Drake. There are no immediate survivors. Funeral services were 3:30 p.m. Thursday December 4, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. T. Don White officiating. Paige Grider was organist and soloist were Marlin and Donna Raines. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery near New Edinburg by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Bobby Taylor, Tommy Taylor, James Allen Taylor, Gary Grider, Bob Powell and Cecil Carmical. Honorary pallbearers were Curley Cathey, Bobby Ballentine, Buddy Weeks and Vera Weeks.
