On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, Vergil Wayne Lee, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away at age 85. Vergil was born on May 31, 1938, in Oklahoma City, OK to Marion Dale Lee and Blanch (Fast) Lee.

He graduated Jones High School in 1958. On February 23, 1961, he married Loneta Bewley. They resided in Jones, OK where they raised two daughters.

Vergil worked thirty - two years in maintenance for Oklahoma City Public schools. He was very active with the church youth department and lived his life serving God.

He lost his first wife Loneta and God blessed him a second opportunity for love with Peggy McWaters on January 5, 2001.

He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, watching wildlife and drinking coffee. He was known for his quick wit, sweet smile, kind eyes, giving heart, and his favorite pastime was pulling pranks. (Maybe still is.)

Vergil was preceded in death by his father, Dale and his mother, Blanch, three sisters, Lola, Vera, & Opal, wives, Loneta Lee and Peggy Lee, daughter, Shelene McWaters and son, Kim McWaters, grandson, Jake Kratky, and son in law, Brad Delargy.
