Patricia Ann Love of Hines Oregon passed away peacefully in her home on June 27, 2023. Patti was born on January 25, 1945, to Henry and Alberta Mathew in Coos Bay Oregon.

Patti graduated high school from Marshfield H.S. in 1963. Through the years she worked at a variety of jobs... hospital candy striper, Dairy Queen, and US Bank, she was a Realtor, Summer Lake Inn Cook, and a Traffic Safety Flagger for Lake County. Her hobbies were quilting, sewing which she gifted to family and friends, gardening, and working out in her yard (which always looked beautiful) Her favorite flowers were her daffodils.

With Patti's love for quilting, in 1992 Patti and Mel decided to create an award at the Lake County Fair to attract more participation for handmade quilts to be entered and shown. This was the creation of the Love Quilt Award which is still awarded today.

She is survived by her daughter Kristi Elder, Riverside Oregon, sisters Joan Lundgren (Springfield, OR) and Elizabeth Morrow (AZ), stepdaughters Lori Love (Eugene, OR), Paula Love (Vernonia, OR), Nanci Love (Springfield, OR), Grandchildren: Amy Elder (Springfield, OR), Randi Hennek (Twin Falls, ID), Lacey Elder (Riverside, OR) and Jack Elder (Caldwell, ID) and 3 great-grandchildren.

Patti was preceded in death by her husband Mel Love, mother Alberta, father Henry, and her two brothers James Mathew and Robert Mathew, and stepdaughter Linda Love
