ROBERT V. ANDERSON

Robert V. Anderson, 84, R. 9, a former funeral director at Chalmers, died in Home hospital at 5 a.m. Saturday after a two-year illness. He had been a patient in the hospital eight days.

Born at Chalmers, he was married to Laura C. Raub in 1906. After her death in 1950, he married her sister, Emma Raub, in 1951. A member of Central Presbyterian church, he retired as a funeral director in 1910. He then came to Lafayette and formed the Anderson and Korty Coal company.

Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Stark of R. 11; a son, Robert S. Anderson of R. 9, and a sister, Mrs. Ralph Chitty of Brookston.

ANDERSON, Robert V. - Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Rogers-Myers funeral home where services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Rev. Gordon L. Leech officiating; interment in K of P cemetery at Chalmers. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Robert E. Anderson of Indianapolis, Richard C. Anderson of Romney, Barbara Jean Macklin of Lafayette, and eight great-grandchildren.
