Francis Marion was born to James Elijah Huston and Emma Jane Harting-Huston

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR COMRADE M. F. HUSTON

Funeral services for Marion F. Huston, 85, who died at his home at 1924 North C street Monday afternoon, of infirmities of age, will be conducted at the East Main street Christian church, of which he was a member, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the pastor, Rev. V. Hayes Miller, assisted by Rev. M. C. Wright, pastor of the M. E. church, and the burial will be in the city cemetery in charge of the G. A. R. post.
Mr. Huston was born in Johnson county, Indiana, September 1, 1840 and he resided on a farm two miles east and two and one-half miles north of Elwood for thirty years, taking up his residence in this city about fourteen years ago. He was a good citizen and held in high regard by all who knew him.
He was twice married, his first wife being Parmelia McClain, who died fourteen years ago. To this union were born three sons and three daughters. Two children, Mrs. William Steel and James G. Huston, both residing near Leisure survive. He is also survived by the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Samuels, to whom he was married six years ago, three brothers, James, of Marion, and Joseph and George, of Covington, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen McClain, of Franklin, Ind., Mrs. Mary Street, residing in Missouri. There are eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Huston was a veteran of the civil war and had a record of service of which he was properly proud. He was a member of the ? G. A. R. post.

Another old veteran of the civil was was carried to his last resting place in the city cemetery this afternoon following funeral services conducted for the late Marion F. Huston at the East Main street Christian church, by Revs. Miller, Hole and Wright. The members of the G. A. R . post and other patriotic societies and many friends were in attendance.

ELWOOD VETERAN EXPIRED MONDAY

Elwood, Ind., Dec 15. Francis Huston, age 81, Civil was veteran, died at his home at 1924 North C street, at 1 p.m. Monday, of infirmaties of age. He had been ill for several weeks. Funeral services will be conduted at the Christian church at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Hayes Miller, pastor. He was one of the most promnent citizens of Elwood, and has lived here for a number of years. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Margaret Huston, and two children by a former marraige, William Huston and Mrs. Minnie Steele, both living north of the city in the Leisure community. The widow is critically ill with complication of diseases.

Funeral services for Marion F.
