A native of Manhattan, Kansas, Mrs. Lane had lived in Tampa for the past 31 years and was a charter member of St. John's United Methodist Church, the Tampa branch of National Music Teachers Assn. and the Friday Morning Musicale. Survivors include her husband, Walter W. Lane, Sr.; 2 sons, Dr. Walter W. Lane, Jr., Indianapolis, Ind. and David F. Lane (1939-2001), Temple Terrace; 3 sisters, Gladys T. Hansen, and Mrs. Bess Edwards, Scottsdale, Ariz, and Mrs. Betty Dunbar, Des Moines, Iowa and 7 grandchildren,
