James Harvey, 76, died at his home in Macclenny Sunday morning after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Sara Harvey, six daughters; Mrs. Anna Barton, Mrs. Emma Lauramore, Mrs. Katie Hodges and Mrs. Thelma Alford, all of Macclenny, Mrs. Mamie Futch, Lawtey, Mrs. Myrtle Starling, Glen St. Mary; five sons; Jack and Arthur Harvey, Jacksonville, Dewey Harvey, Lawtey, Walter Harvey, Nichols, GA., Morris Harvey, Macclenny; four sisters; Miss Mollie Harvey, Mrs. Lizzie Wells, Mrs. Ellen Combs, all of Taylor, Mrs. W.H. Harris, Jacksonville; one half-sister, Mrs. Hazel Altman, Taylor, one brother, Jessie Harvey, Taylor, half-brothers, R.B. Harvey, Taylor, Williard and Cecil of the Army, fifty-two grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 P.M. Monday, at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, with Rev. W.R. Rhoden officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
