My great-grandfather, William L. Wilber was born 1859 in New York, the son of John & Isabella Delores Reid Wilber, and died at sixty-four, in Michigan of pneumonia. His death certificate states " contributory cause of death due to exposure. William married my great-grandmother, Bessie Elizabeth Saxton in 1883, at the residence of the bride's father in Raisin, by the Reverend Jacob Baker. Bessie was born in 1866 in Elmira, New York to Chauncey Saxton and Elizabeth Lucinda VanScoter. William and Bessie had seven children, Claude born 1884 who died at two months old, Chauncey Leon, my grandfather, born 1885 who married Neva Minerva Adeline Fowler, my grandmother, Charles born 1888 who died at two months old, Glenn William born 1889 who married Anna Mae Osborn in 1915, Delbert Percy born 1893 who married Mary 'Edna' Quandt, Elizabeth 'Beth' Isabella born 1896 who married Lyle Miller and John 'Kelly' Fobish and Margaret born 1901 who only lived four days.
