Robert Davenport was the son of Robert Davenport and Elizabeth Catherine 'Katie' Wise Davenport. Robert married his first wife, Sarah Ann Brown, on June 6, 1849 and had nine children. He then married Alcey Elizabeth Rust on July 29, 1863 in Mecklenburg Co, KY. They had eight children.
