Ray was born Nov 20, 1925 at Fairview, ND to Albert Leroy Davis and Zylpha Josephine Noble Davis. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Montana. Ray married Joan Williams at Billings MT on June 10. 1954.
Ray died at age 77 at his residence in Sturgis.
Ray had one son, Ray Clinton, three daughters, Rayetta "Suzie" Joan, Linda Joyce, Rudi Lee. Five brothers Albert Davis, Bruce Miller, Grant Miller, Melby Miller and Clyde Miller. Four sisters, Ruth Ann "Violet" Davis Rennert, Hazel Zier, Margie Derenburger and Margaret Arbogast.
