Robert James 'Bob' Livoni, 67, a resident of Barstow for the past 47 years, passed away March 31, 2005. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with Dynacorp at Fort Irwin. Bob graduated from Barstow High in 1956, and served as an airman first class in the Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was a member of VFW Post 2143, serving as commander for five years. Bob loved fishing, hunting, camping and boating. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sadie Livoni; his brothers, Donnie Livoni and Richard Livoni; and his son, Arthur Livoni. Bob is survived by his wife Jean Livoni, of Barstow; daughter Ronda Livoni of Laughlin, Nev.; daughter Robin Livoni of Okmulgee, Okla.; son Robert Livoni Jr. of Barstow; stepdaughter Leah Courtney of Victorville; sister Linda Heald of Barstow; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 4 at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road in Barstow. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, also at Mead Mortuary. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road in Barstow.
