Vincent Leon-Guerrero, a resident of Barstow, passed away on March 9, 2006 at Barstow Community Hospital. He was born on Jan. 22, 1966 in Tamuning, Guam. Vincent was a member of Bethel Temple in Barstow. He loved to cook and enjoyed sports. Vincent is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Julia Leon-Guerrero, and brother Victor Leon-Guerrero. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, of Barstow; children, Joshua Hill of Riverside, Precila Guerrero, Katrina Guerrero, and Israel Leon Guerrero of Barstow; brothers Ronald Leon-Guerrero and wife, Elizabeth Taijeron, John Leon-Guerrero and wife, Geri Mendiola, of Guam, Rudy Leon-Guerrero and wife, Faye Parris, of Muskogee, Okla., Joseph Leon-Guerrero and wife, Rose Borja, of Anchorage, Ala., Mike Leon-Guerrero and wife, Bernie of Courdlane, Idaho, William Leon-Guerrero and wife, Maria, of Fredricksburg, Va., Peter Leon-Guerrero and wife, Deana, of Tigard, Ore.; sisters, Josphine Riva and husband, Frank Mendiola, of Guam, Reinalda Miller and husband, Lyle, of Barstow, Rita Huckeba and husband, Junior, of Lowville, N.Y., Lourdes and husband, Scott Campbell, of Jaffrey, N.H., Helen Leon-Guerrero of North Carolina, Tanya Yates of Georgia., and Jim Rivard of New Hampshire. Visitation and prayer service will be Wednesday, March 15, 2006, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cora Harper Community Center, 841 Barstow Road, with an evening service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday March 16, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Bethel Temple, 457 S. First Street. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road, Barstow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Desert Community Bank, 945 Armory Road, in memory of Vincent Leon-Guerrero.
