Mary S. Hower Umberger, widow of Harvey G. Umberger 223-A E. Cherry St., Palmyra, died Tuesday in the Lebanon Valley General Hospital at the age of 76. Born in Lebanon County, she a member of the Faith United Church of Christ, Grantville, the Women's Guild of the Church, and the Auxiliary of the Lancaster Synod Retirement Homes Inc. of the United Church of Christ. Surviving are three sons: Jonas A., Palmyra RD 1; Lloyd H., Hummelstown RD 2, and Richard R., Palmyra; 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five sisters: Mrs. Cyrus Shuey, Palmyra; Mrs. Lloyd Brightbill, Myerstown RD 3; Mrs. John Houtz, Mt. Zion; Mrs. Harry Weidner, Frystown, and Mrs. Maggie Deck, Lebanon.
