BOWMAN, GA - Mr. Conyard Earl Ayers, 78, of 100 South Broad Street, Bowman, GA, died Thursday, June 23, 2005 at his home.

Mr. Ayers was born in Banks County, GA, June 10, 1927, son of the late Bromer Eugene (B.E.) and Lessie Marie Segars Ayers. He was a Rural Mail Carrier and member of the Bowman Baptist church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Ayers was a member of the Bowman Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Ayers was a member of the Rural Mail Carriers Association and was a United States Army Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Pulliam Ayers of Bowman, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Earl & Peggy Ayers of Athens, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen & Tommy Foster of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Erin, Haley and Zachary Ayers, Craig, Lauren and Leah Foster; brothers, Wade Ayers and Barry Ayers, both of Royston, GA; sisters, Louise Rice and Marlene Hart, both of Royston, GA.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Virgil Ayers.

Funeral services for Mr. Ayers will be at 11:00a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2005 at the Bowman Baptist Church with Rev. John Forbes and Rev. David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman, GA.

The body is at the Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA where the family will receive friends from 7-9p.m. Friday evening. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30a.m., Saturday morning. The family is at the home.
