James "Jim" Poffinbarger, Jr.
Mountain Home - James Edward Poffinbarger, Jr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away February 25, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 68. He was born October 5, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of James and Barbara Huck Poffinbarger. Jim lived in Mountain Home since moving from Kansas City, Missouri, in 1989. He married Shelley Carrico on July 9, 1993, in Gamaliel, Arkansas. He owned Square One Music and enjoyed listening to music and working on instruments. He loved cooking, grilling, and landscaping.
Jim is survived by his wife, Shelley Poffinbarger of Mountain Home, AR; four grandchildren, Taylor Kanta, Kaden Kanta, Nicholas Poffinbarger, and Eric Farley; great-grandson, Conner Poffinbarger; and brother, Douglas Sillett of Pittsburgh, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Edward Poffinbarger, III; and two daughters, Kayla Marie McCullough and Ashley Black Kanta.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
