Died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 1986, at her residence in Prairieville. She was 67, a native of Gonzales. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, Gonzales, from 8 a.m. to religious services at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Gerard Young. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by husband, Millet A. Templet, Prairieville; four daughters, Grace Ergas, Mary Lee "Tootsee" Carnahan and Lisa Gautreau, all of Prairieville, and Sylvia "Tillie" Behre, Black Mountain, N.C.; eight sons, Van, Henry, Fellman "Dee Dee," Ernest, Raymond "B.B." and Arthur Broussard, all of Prairieville, Paul Broussard, White Hall, and Gerald "Chookie" Denham Springs; three sisters, Mary Ann Lobell, Elgie Braud and Lillie Babin Bercegeay, all of Gonzales; two brothers, Fellman "T-Man" Babin, Kenner, and Wellman "Dippy" Babin, White Hall; 40 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Babin; husband, Van Broussard Sr.; a sister, Mrs. John (Mable) Broussard; and three brothers, Shelton, Anton and Sidney Babin Jr. Pallbearers will be her sons. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
