World War I Polish Army Soldier. The last surviving Polish veteran of World War I. He enlisted in 1915 at the age of 13, and was originally a messenger for the Polish Military Organization, an underground movement seeking freedom for the country. In 1917 he joined the adult wing of the organization and fought against the Germans.
