Elia "Nellie" Maglione, 84, of Syracuse , passed away Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness, with her family by her side. A life resident of Syracuse , Elia retired from Days Inn, where she worked for 28 years. A communicant of St. Daniel's Church, Mrs. Maglione loved to play bingo and bunko.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Maglione.

Elia is survived by her daughters, Paula (Glenn) Gillette of Syracuse , Adeline (Robert) Kolb of Jamesville-Dewitt and Kathy Varre of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Christina, Elia, Paul (April) and Melissa (Rob); great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nathaniel and Michael; sisters, Elizabeth Paoff of East Syracuse and Virginia (Jay) Daino of Georgia; brother, Alfonso (Lee) Letizia of Arizona; her beloved pet, Gizmo; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 8:15 a.m. Friday at FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Park Street, and 9 a.m. in St. Daniel's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street
