John Steve "Scooter" Bridges, 75, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023.
Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late John Felton and Alma Maney Bridges. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran. Scooter was a graduate of Anderson College and retired from BASF. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Scooter was an avid Clemson Tiger fan.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce C. Bridges; daughter, Casey Garrett (Woody); granddaughter, Lylah Rain Garrett; and a sister, Martha Kay.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Bridges.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 7, at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery conducted by Dr. Steve Hurte.
