Kingsport – Blanche Herron Brown, 82, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday April 2, 2008 at Gray Life Care Center after an extended illness.
Born in Dickenson County VA and had lived in Kingsport most of her life. Blanche was employed by Kingsport Housing Company, The Modern Baker, and Martinized Dry Cleaners. Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Brown; son, Eugene Brown; parents, John Rufus (J.R.) Herron and Mellie Tilson Herron; brothers, Carl, Lofa and Charlie Herron; sisters, Osta and Rosalie Jones.
She is survived by her son, Dennis "Tiny" Brown, Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. Friday April 4, 2008 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Charles Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Mowel Cemetery, Church Hill, TN.(Goshen Valley). Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
