BLUEFIELD-Alma Louise Hill Goodson, 79, of 2216 Dearborn Av., Bluefield, died Thursday August 20, 1991 at a Bluefield hospital.
Born March 21, 1912 at Bramwell, she was the daughter of the late Jesse F. and Maude McBride Hill. She had been a resident of Bluefield for 60 years and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bluefield. She was a graduate of the Bluefield Sanitarium Nursing School and was a retired registered nurse where she was employed by the Bluefield Sanitarium for 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Goodson, Sr., a brother, Clifton T. Hill and a sister Charlotte Boyd.
Survivors; son, Harry S. Goodson, Jr. of Lehigh Acres, Fl.; daughter, Mrs. Terry (Ann) Hale of Midlothian, Va.; brothers, Hugh Hill of Gahanna, Oh. and Lindy Hill of Highland Springs, Va.; sisters, Mrs. Leonard (June) Bailey of Bluefield, and Mrs. Donald (Ennice) Allen, Mrs. Mamie Bailey and Mrs. Robert (Frances) Eller, all of Bramwell; three grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Dr. James Denney officiating, and burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
