She was born Sept. 7, 1917, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of John and Frances Stahal Popielasz. She had been employed by General Electric in Erie and Molded Fiber Glass in Union City. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Corry. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Bemis of West Hickory, Pa.; a son, Larry Buell of Corry; a stepdaughter, Rita Burrous of Corry; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Irene Baldwin of Erie and Jean Pollack of Venice, Fla. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Buell, whom she married in 1935 in Clymer; two sons: Ronald and Donald Buell; two stepsons: James and Delmar Buell; four sisters: Jennie Zimmerman, Lottie Kubeja, Frances Albreski and Stella Lubak; a brother, John Popielasz; and two grandsons: Timothy Bemis and Jason Buell.
