"William Clayton Barker died March 7, 2017, in Independence, MO. He was born July 17, 1928. As a proud "Seabee" in the U.S. Navy, he served from 1946 to 1948. He was also a member of VFW Post 1000. After 33 years of employment with Ford, he retired and enjoyed being a member of UAW Local 249. He is survived by his wife, Mary Charlene Barker, sons William Charles and Christopher Wayne, as well as two granddaughters. He was laid to rest in Goss Cemetery, Mount Vernon, MO. Memorials or donations should be made to Alzheimer's research in his honor."
