In addition to his wife, Bernie is survived by two children: Amanda Allen of Indianapolis, IN, and Seth (Britnie) Middleton of Sidney; grandchildren: Jessie Smith, Amelia Middleton, William Middleton and Hudson Middleton; siblings: Robert Allen, Timothy (Janie) Allen and William (Bobbi) Allen, all of Piqua; and many nieces and nephews.
Bernie was a 1977 graduate of Houston High School. He was a member of Pemberton Methodist Church. Bernie volunteered with the Lockington Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years, the last 6 as Chief. He was employed at B & B AgVantages in Conover. Bernie enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Bernie was a friend to all and stranger to none.
Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor Don Burley officiating. Burial will follow in Plattsville Cemetery.
