Bernard L. "Bernie" Allen, age 64, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at his residence surrounded by many loved ones. He was born on July 13, 1959, in Sidney to the late Bernard L. and Margaret (Gilbert) Allen. On August 4, 1979, he married Margie (Bright) Allen and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Bernie is survived by two children: Amanda Allen of Indianapolis, IN, and Seth (Britnie) Middleton of Sidney; grandchildren: Jessie Smith, Amelia Middleton, William Middleton and Hudson Middleton; siblings: Robert Allen, Timothy (Janie) Allen and William (Bobbi) Allen, all of Piqua; and many nieces and nephews.

Bernie was a 1977 graduate of Houston High School. He was a member of Pemberton Methodist Church. Bernie volunteered with the Lockington Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years, the last 6 as Chief. He was employed at B & B AgVantages in Conover. Bernie enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Bernie was a friend to all and stranger to none.

Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor Don Burley officiating. Burial will follow in Plattsville Cemetery.
