Mr. Gene "Bud" Sisk, age 71, of Dysartsville, N.C. passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at his residence.

Born in McDowell County on July 12, 1934, he was a son of the late Rev. Frank Sisk and Alice Mayo Biggerstaff Sisk.

He was a loving husband and father of six. He enjoyed his home life and loved raising chickens. He had several pets he enjoyed greatly.

Surviving Mr. Sisk are his wife, Shirley Baker Sisk, of the home; six children: Cathy Woody and husband Charles of Dysartsville, Geraldine Winters and husband David of Dysartsville, Janet Reed and husband Jerry of Jonesborough, TN, Tim Sisk of Dysartsville, Alice Cox and husband Bill of Dysartsville and George Sisk and wife Lisa of Marion; two sisters, Becky House of Dysartsville and Natalie Webb of Gastonia; two brothers, Frank and Coyt Sisk, both of Dysartsville. Eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive him.

Interment will be in Sunny Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
