"Erie Farm Worker Dies in Fire - Erie, Pa, Dec 10 - (AP) - Martin Luth, 66-year-old farm worker, burned to death in a fire which destroyed a barn in which he was sleeping and an adjoining farmhouse about 10 miles east of here yesterday. Luth's sister, Mrs James (sic) [Edward] Edmunds and her husband, who operated the farm for James McDonald of North East, escaped from the farmhouse. Also destroyed were two horses, four dogs, a number of chickens, two tractors, a truck and an automobile. Damage was unofficially estimated at $20,000."
