Bobbie Chapman went to meet her Lord and Savior on July 28, 2023, at the age of 83. Bobbie was born on April 26, 1940, to John Ray Jackson and Ruby (Brannon) Jackson. It was at First Assembly of God in Fayetteville where she met Wilbert Chapman who became the love of her life. They married December 17, 1960. They moved to Little Rock, AR, where they were both employed. Bobbie became employed as the payroll deputy clerk for the City of Sherwood in 1979. She was in that position for 9 years and then was appointed Sherwood City clerk in 1988. She continued to work in that position until she retired after working for 22 years.

Bobbie is a member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, AR. She sung in the choir, taught elementary Sunday school while her children were growing up, and even returned to teach her grandson when he was in first grade. She played the piano at the Heritage House and Rescue Mission while her husband taught their Sunday school for many years.

Bobbie's family and friends knew the kind hearted, giving, fun, and talented person that she was. She loved to have people over for food and fellowship. She would whip up a delicious meal and finish it off with homemade ice cream and pie. Then everyone would sit around the table and play domino games, Sequence, or Nine Card Golf. Spending time with her, seeing her sweet smile, and feeling her warm hugs just felt like home. She loved to give gifts for special occasions or no occasion at all. She was her family's biggest cheerleader and steadfast support. The way she lived her life provided a Godly example to her children and grandchildren and honored her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Ruby Jackson, a sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Dewey Sebourn. She leaves behind her husband, Wilbert Chapman, children: Rhonda (Roger) Pool, Shawn (Hallie) Chapman, and grandchildren: Phillip (Hannah) Pool, Andrew Pool, Jackson Chapman, Savannah Chapman, and Kara (Trevor) Traub, great grandchildren: Penelope and Hendrix Pool, sister, Billie (Ted) Moore, along with a host of other family and friends who all love her and miss her dearly.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a funeral service following at 11:00AM. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 1:00PM.
