A Chapter of Accidents.
On Monday last Mr Patrick Daniel Gallagher, farmer aged 65 years residing at Tamleugh, was accidentally killed by being pinned by a dray. He was carting soil for his garden, when in passing along a siding near his house, the dray capsized and fell upon him breaking, his neck. Death was almost instantaneous.
The body was buried in the Violet Town cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, being followed to the grave by forty horsemen and twenty-six vehicles. The mortuary services were conducted by the Rev. Father Byrne.
