Services Held for Mrs Edna Boelter

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Edna Boelter on Monday, July 29, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Reverend Caryl Ritchey was the officiating pastor. Two hymns "Just as I Am" and "Rock of Ages" were sung by the church choir. Pallbearers were grandsons Rodney Boelter, Loren Boelter, Delmber Alden, Merlin Kocina and great grandsons Monte Montgomery and Steven Rokahr. Burial was in the Grimton Cemetery.
Edna Boelter, daughter of Fred and Belle Vorce Butterfield, was born on Nov 9, 1888 at Walnut, Nebr. She spent her entire life in the Walnut community with the exception of four months in Fall River County, South Dakota. Her home had been the office of the Walnut telephone exchange for 24 years. She moved to Creighton in the fall of 1963 when her eye sight began to fail. In 1970 she moved to the Creighton Care Centre where she passed away Friday, July 26, at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 17 days. She was baptized in the U.B. Church and later was confirmed in the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Venus on January 26, 1930. She was a member of the church's ladies aid also.
On February 22, 1907, she was united in marriage to Carl Boelter at Walnut. To this union, six children were born.
She leaves to mourn her passing her sons Delbert of Creighton, Willis of Orchard, Francis of Page; daughter Mrs. Elmer (Delores) Kocina, Platte Center, foster daughter Mrs. Elmer (Lucille) Alder Emmet, sisters Orva Sivesind of Madison, June Eyer of Portland, Oregon, Adabelle Rice, Fairbury, Nebr. Evadelle Everett, Santa Barbara, Calif, Helen Beonde Napoma, Calif, Beulah Krimble, Portland, Oregon and Maxine Simmons, Arizona; 17 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Her husband preceded her in death on February 13, 1959. Also preceding her in death were two sons Richard in 1929 and Julian 1911, her parents four sisters Edyth, Lulu, Ethel, and Lila and one brother Leon.
Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep. From which none-ever waken to weep. A calm and undisturbed repose, Unbroken by the last of foes.
