Cheryl was born and raised in Norwich, Norfolk England, the daughter of Reginald and Joyce (Fuller) Creed.
Cheryl married John E. James and relocated to Delanson, NY in 1969. Prior to moving from England Cheryl worked as a nurse.
Cheryl was a devoted mother, wife, and Nanny. She was a den leader of Cub Scout Pack 105, a leader of the Quaker Street Cattle Club and involved in many other endeavors locally. Cheryl worked in many management positions such as Tiffany's store, The Beresford Farms, and Yield House which led to working with her husband to start their family business, Tri-City Scaffold. She was a devoted nanny and loved her grandchildren with all her heart, she was a positive influence on all. Cheryl was very proud to become a citizen of the USA and believed it to be a Great nation. She supported our troops and regularly donated to the Wounded Warrior fund. Cheryl was an avid quilter and always available to give tips and help others with their quilting, she was a member of several local Quilting Guilds including the Peaceable Day Quilt Guild, Quarter Inch Quilt Club.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl is predeceased by her sister Julie Creed, brother-in-law Peter Webb and sister-in-law Norma Creed.
She is survived by her loving husband, John E. James Jr. and by her children, Carl James (Sherry), Lynn Herzog (Timothy), Lise Ketchell (William), and eleven grandchildren, Lacy James- Starr (Kenton), Jacob James, Kendra Bombard (Peter), Tiffanie Smith, Geoffrey Herzog, Mickey Ketchell (Amy), Timothy Ketchell, Beth Ketchell, John Ketchell, Sarah Taylor (Josh) and Laura Ketchell; and eight (8) Great Grandchildren, her brothers David (Christine) Creed and Trevor (Linda) Creed and many nieces and nephews.
