Fairfield - Dwight W. "Slick" James, 80 years, went to join his Lord on March 30, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Louise; sons Jesse and Frank James, daughters Marsha Cooper, Linda McGovern and Ginger Munroe; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his brother Sam James and sister Doris Brake. He was born in Miami, Florida and moved to Fairfield in 1959. He served in World War II. He was a correctional officer for 30 years. He loved tinkering in his shop and time spent with family. Funeral services 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Fairfield Presbyterian Church, with interment to follow in Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at HIERS FUNERAL HOME, 910 Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Fairfield Presbyterian Church, P.O.
