The following poem was written by Mr. James Hemphill in the early 80's when he experienced a near death experience in his own life. He was Linda's friend, a former boss at Kroger. He wants this dedicated to Linda from him.

Satan's Defeat
As my trials draw near,
I will be without fear;
For in fear I will not hide,
For I know Jesus is by my side.
If this is a test of my faith,
Then Old Satan is going to have to wait;
For my body he cannot harm,
When I am leaning on that Everlasting Arm.
I know that it is Jesus' will,
That He and I walk up that Hill;
Walking hand in hand,
Together, we will leave this old land.
To that mighty kingdom in the sky;
He and I and all His people will fly.
This day is very near;
Listen! I can hear Jesus,
whispering In my ear.
