She was born August 12, 1947, in Columbia, TN the daughter of the late Alfred and Ana Ova Smith Madewell. She grew up in Nashville, TN and was a graduate of Hume-Fogg High School. She then attended Belmont University and earned a bachelor's degree in business.
She moved to Florida and lived there about thirty years, before moving to Finger, TN in 2005.
She married Clarence Bevans on October 28, 1977, and they spent forty-five years together. They owned Curves and Bevans Graphics in Henderson.
She enjoyed watching television and playing games on her computer.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a Methodist in belief.
Mrs. Bevans is survived by her husband, Clarence Eugene Bevans of Finger; two daughters, Julie Robbins (Paul W.) of Finger and Lisa Marie Brown (Russell) of Savannah; a stepson, Shawn Santarufo (Monika) of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Samantha Skaret (Nicholas), Kaitlin Patalano (J.P.), Justin Evans (Stephanie) and Cody Robbins; two great grandchildren, Emma Rose Evans and Alec Anthony Evans.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brother, Billy Madewell and Bobby Madewell and two sisters, Ruby Sue Christian and Reba Derryberry.
The family will have a Memorial service later.
