Abbie Louise Riddle, 85, of Burkburnett passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett with Rev. Chad Stubblefield officiating. Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery.
Abbie was born on June 17, 1938 in Charlie to the late Otis and Evelyn (Kirkwood) Vaughan. Abbie loved to cook. She worked for many years as a nurse's aide. Her true passion in life was her grandchildren, and she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin; son Allen; and sisters Jean Casburn, and Wanda Golson.
She is survived by sons Gary Lee Riddle and his wife Dawn of Odessa, and Douglas Wayne Riddle of Burkburnett; his daughter, Donna Marie Gonzales and her husband Pete of Burkburnett; six grandchildren, Becky Newman, of Killeen, Rodney Newman of Abilene, Thomas Newman Brian Luce both of Burkburnett, Brandon Riddle and his wife Tiffany of Odessa, and Kimberly Riddle of Burkburnett; and eight great-grandchildren.
