Sarah was a very involved farm wife, mother and grandmother, (Oma to Darcy)
Sarah was an active PTA mom and volunteer. She also was a 4 H leader, and she taught a lot of Royal kids how to cook. She was an active volunteer with son's baseball leagues. She was active with Home Extension for decades.
Sarah was an avid reader and always had some book she was reading. She shared that trait with both her children.
Sarah always had a garden and canned or froze it every year.
She had a delicious sense of humor, another trait she passed on to her children.
Sarah was noted as a good cook and was the first to try and feed anybody who showed up at her house. She had a reputation for amazing desserts and baked goods.
Sarah touched several generations of people. She was loved and beloved.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Steve (Kay) Davis and Laura (Kevin) Sandefur; grandchildren, Nathan (Krista) Davis, Grant Davis and Darcy Sandefur and great grandchildren, Lilly, Emma and Millie Davis.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Emil Davis and siblings, Emerson, Violet, Arvilla, Delbert and Charles.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Freese Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Burial will be at Stearns Fithian Cemetery, Fithian. Visitation will be from 9:00 To 10:30AM, Thursday at the funeral home.
