Lynn Erickson, 69, a well-known Langdon Attorney, Cavalier County, died Feb. 28, 2003, at his home, rural Walhalla.

Lynn Erickson was born Sept. 16, 1933, in rural Fairdale, ND, the son of Edwin and Clarice (Thorson) Erickson. He graduated with a bachelor arts degree from Augsburg College, Minneapolis. He then attended and graduated from University of North Dakota Law School in Grand Forks.

Lynn was united in marriage to Delma Landsem on Aug. 28, 1960, in Edmore, ND. They established their home in Langdon, after their marriage. In 1961, Lynn started his career with the Snowfield Law office in Langdon. They moved to Bismarck in 1964, where he held the office of assistant attorney general of North Dakota. While living in Bismarck, he was appointed Chief Judge of the Tribal Court for the Standing Rock Sioux Nation at Fort Yates, for two years.

In 1987, they moved to Grand Forks, where he was a supervisory contract specialist and contracting officer for the Department of Defense at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. In 1994, he and Delma moved to rural Walhalla where he was elected States Attorney for Cavalier County. He was also practicing law in Langdon.

He is survived by his wife, Delma; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa Schuler, Grand Forks, ND; Tara (Ryan) Holland, Grand Forks, ND; Holly (Michael) Kelley, Park City, Utah; four grandchildren: Casey, Morgan and Lilly Schuler, and Dixie Holland; two sisters, Elva Gullixon, Waupaca, WI and Elaine Knudson, Cambridge, MN; and one brother, Kenneth Erickson, Wasilla, AK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald.

Services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Living Word Lutheran Church, Edmore, ND.
Burial: Highland Cemetery, Fairdale, ND.
