Margie Powell, 78, devoted wife and mother, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2008.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Powell was born Jan. 18, 1930, in Westella to Herman Clark Westbrook and Ova Cleone Turner Westbrook. She married Herman Powell on April 12, 1956, in Plainview. She was a member of Acton Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Emma Lou Westbrook and Wanda Daughtery; and foster son, Bobbie Stewart.
The family would like to give special thanks to American Hospice and Cherokee Rose Manor.
Survivors: Husband, Herman L. Powell of Decordova; daughter, Carol Jones and husband, Gregg, of Saginaw; granddaughter, Kelli Jones of Saginaw; brother, Hardy Westbrook and wife, Kay, of Fredricksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
