Joseph Steinman
Joseph Z. Steinman of 341 Bleams Rd., W., New Hamburg, died Monday at Stratford Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 86.
He was born in Wilmot Township, March 19, 1883, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Steinman. He was a member of the 16th line East Zorra Mennonite Church.
He had farmed in South Easthope Township for 26 years and had been a resident of New Hamburg since 1943.
He is survived by his wife the former Magdelina Brennaman, whom he married in East Zorra Township Nov. 27, 1913.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Reuben (Florence) Kennel of New Hamburg and Miss Adeline Steinman, both of New Hamburg; one brother, Ezra of Lancaster, N.Y., three sisters, Mrs. Jacob (Mattie) Albrecht of Poole; Mrs. Jacob (Katie) Moser of Crogan, N.Y., Miss Mary Steinman of Kitchener, three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by six brothers.
Funeral service was held at the 16th line East Zorra Mennonite church at 2:30 p.m. last Thursday, Bishop Henry Yantzi officiating. Burial was in the adjoining church cemetery.
The Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
