William I. Goodman, 71, of 553 S. 14th St., died this morning at 2 o'clock in the St. Koseph Hospital, where he was addmitted two hours earlier.
Born in Reading, a son of the late William and Annie (Lawrence) Goodman, he was a sheetmetal worker for the Reading School District prior his retirement in 1970. His wife, Alice (Klemmer) Goodman, died in 1939.
Surviving are three sons: Norman W., Richard P. and Earl T., all of Reading, two daughters: Jean C., wife of Donald Allen, Reading, and Doris M., wife of Richard K. Reiter, Phoenixville; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also two brothers: George Goodman and Clarence Goodman, both of Reading, and four sisters: Emily, wife of Earl Ramsey; Elsi, widow of Paul Walker; Dorothy, wife of Thomas Gierot, all of Reading, and Margaret, wife of Lloyd Kulp, Mohnton.
Services will be hled Monday at 10 a.m. from the J. E. Lutz Funeral Home, Mount Penn, the Rev. Dr. Frank E. Reynolds officiating. Burial will be made in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Toenship.
