Edna May Knotts passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 85 years. She was born on February 7, 1938, to Everett and Edna Davis in Quantico, Virginia.

Edna met Roy Lester while working at Archery at Camp Pendleton in 1956. She was a skilled archer and still to this day her grandkids can't picture her hitting the bullseye from behind her back. They were married November 6, 1957. They had a great 44 years together until he passed away in 2001.

Edna and Roy had three children: David Eugene, Chris Ann, then last and honestly the favorite "Little Les" Lester Roy. While she was raising her kids, Edna was still as athletic as she was when her husband met her. She started teaching after-school sports at the community center in Kansas City, Missouri. Her favorite was volleyball. She played in several teams for many years which led her kids to follow in her footsteps on the court.

Her Aunt Von got her into creating Ceramics. You could usually find her painting or at the kiln when you would come to visit. Her home was always filled with her hand-crafted pieces. When her grandkids came along, her husband would make them anything and everything such as chairs, toy boxes, and all the doll accessories the granddaughters would want. She would put the finishing touches by painting the prettiest designs.

She was preceded in death by one sister Darlene Davis, son Little Les, and her husband Roy (Les).
