Helen Diane Kimbrel Myrick, 73 of Bessemer Alabama, passed away on July 18, 2023. She attended Oak Grove High School and was later a wife and a stay-at-home mom.She then attended Bessemer Technical School where she received her nursing degree. She worked at Bessemer Caraway Hospital Bessemer Clinic, Donaldson Correctional Facility, and Jefferson County Jail. She was a friend to many and the back bone of her family for many years.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, George and Maudie Kimbrel. She is survived by her children, Kevin Myrick, Greg Myrick (Debbie) and Denise Fields; granddaughter, Chloe Fields; grandsons, Wade Myrick (Christyn), Ben Myrick, and Nickolas Myrick, Hunter Myrick; great-grandkids, Bryson Myrick, Bentley Myrick; sister, Sherry Baker (Mark); niece, Haylee Pate (Brad); and nephew, Ryan Sellers (Anna).

The visitation will be Friday, July 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Jon Killingsworth officiating. The burial will follow at Adger Cemetery.
