Payne County News (Stillwater, Okla.), Vol. 45, No. 29, Ed. 1 Friday, March 19, 1937
Death has again entered our midst, and taken one of our young mothers, Mrs. Alice Thompson, who had only been ill the past three weeks. Mrs. Thompson was too well known in this community to need any comment by the writer. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Davis of Stillwater, and the wife of Ed Thompson, and also the mother of two small children. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Bickell, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Strode Funeral Home at 10 a.m., Wednesday, and burial was in Elm Grove cemetery. Words of sympathy seem dull and meaningless, but our heart aches for all those who have been bereft of their dear one.
